HYPERION

HYPERION is a research project which aims at developing a forensic analysis system for areas where explosions have occured. By detecting explosives and IED residues and acquiring 3D images of the scene the aim is to recapture what happened during the explosion and calculate where it took place.

The EMPHASIS System

The EMPHASIS system will be composed of different sensors in a network. Area detectors, strategically positioned, for the monitoring of explosives or precursors to explosives in the vapour phase will be used. Multiple static sensors, positioned in the sewer, for the monitoring of the sewage for indicative traces will also be used. The detectors will be connected in a network and the total gathered data will be fused and evaluated in a command centre.

PLAISIR - PLAsmonic Innovative Sensing in the IR

PLAISIR project will harness European know-how to create a disruptive technology in the mid-IR. It will help to ensure pervasive IR applications by enabling both smart and cheap detectors and sensing surfaces.
